Beach Weddings

Why do some of us feel attracted towards beach weddings? In our imagination, beach weddings seem like breezy affairs quite unlike the traditional ones. The thing is the breeziness is a product of good planning and smart strategy. It might look effortless but it certainly doesn’t start that way.

However, that doesn’t mean that you should start looking for traditional venues for your wedding. It might take some time and hard work to plan a beach wedding but we are here to help. This article simplifies things for you, so you can have your beach wedding exactly the way you want it to happen.

Let’s start by:

Deciding if the wedding is going to be a public affair or private one

If you want to have a private wedding at a beach, you will need one that is secluded. On the other hand, if you are okay with a public affair, then simply pick your favorite beach. Most people who happen to be there at the time the ceremony is on will not want to intrude, but they will certainly be keen and want to see what the fuss is , and lets face it everyone loves a wedding ceremony.

Decide what you will be wearing

Since the wedding isn’t going to be in a ballroom, you might want to rethink the whole ball gown thing! If how it would look doesn’t sell you into looking into alternative dressing, then you might want to visualize walking down the aisle. A full dress would be fine if you were walking down the aisle in a room. Handling a long train while walking on the beach will make things complicated. Stay away from dresses if you can and pick one that can bustle easily, if you can’t.

So you know what you will wear, now focus on:

What the rest of your outfit would be like

If it is a beach wedding, then windy weather is a given. A veil would simply end up ruining your pictures, which is why you need to forego one. Go for flowers, instead! Similarly, look for a dress that is made from a lightweight fabric, such as charme use or chiffon. The pictures will show you dressed in a gown that was flowing in the ocean breeze, if you do!

Don’t forget to plan how to style your hair because that is probably the most important part of your outfit! No loose tresses if you are tying the knot on a beach. Think of the weather and stick to an updo. It will have the added advantage of staying in place throughout the whole event. After all, you will want to continue looking your best.

We recommend that you take the up do for a test run. Get the hairstyle made and go for a walk on the beach that you have chosen for your nuptials. Even with the wind, for some brides, looking good means letting their hair down. If that’s you, then hire a stylist who will stick around and do touch ups every now and then to keep you looking like your gorgeous self.
